17 June, a forum of the prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region "Protection of the rights of persons with disabilities" was held, headed by acting. Regional Prosecutor Valery Kuzmin.
It was attended by Oksana Kislitsyna, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Tatiana Kovalenko, deputy minister of health of the region, Sergey Klementiev, Deputy Minister of Social Policy Deputy Governor of the NRO FSS RF Nikolay Konstantinovich Sokolov, Head of the Department of the Office of the Commissioner for Children's Rights Mikhail Semenovich Safronov, as well as representatives of public organizations of people with disabilities. Invatur representatives Dmitry Balykin and Andrey Bulanov took part in the forum.
During the forum, the following issues were identified:
1. The practice of prosecutorial supervision in the field of social protection of the disabled.
2. Consideration by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region of citizens' applications, having a disability.
3. Protection of the rights of children with disabilities in the field of health protection by the prosecutor's office.
4. Provision for the disabled, disabled children, including, suffering from rare (orphan) diseases, necessary medicines.
5. Actual problems of realizing the rights of people with disabilities to access quality medical services. Equipping medical organizations with equipment for people with limited mobility.
6.Implementation of social rehabilitation of disabled people in the system of social protection of the population of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Employees of the prosecutor's office of the Nizhny Novgorod region pay great attention, paid to the protection of the social rights of children with disabilities, including requests, coming from members of public organizations, working with people with disabilities.
