If you're young, active and looking for an opportunity to gain additional skills and knowledge, then we invite you to work as a volunteer at the sports and rehabilitation camp “Center for Active Life” in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the summer of 2020.
Sports and Rehabilitation Camp "Center for Active Life" is a 10-day intensive course of practical and theoretical studies for people, injured spine and spinal cord, and who consequently use a wheelchair. The main teachers-teachers throughout the race are instructors-trainers, who move themselves in wheelchairs.
IN camp a group of volunteers (from 7 to 10 man), usually they are specialists in physical rehabilitation, medical staff, psychologists, social workers, teachers and other professionals. Average age of volunteers from 18 to 40 years old.
Camp will pass with 15 by 24 July 2020 years in the sports center "Borsky", where the Uruguay national football team was based during the World Cup 2018.
The task of the volunteers: preparation of places for classes, insurance for participants during sports training (tennis, basketball, team sports, etc.), help with everyday life and, what a person is not yet able to do on his own.
Before the start of the camp, a training seminar is held on the psychological and moral aspects of a volunteer's work with people with disabilities, on the technique and methods of moving a person in a wheelchair, safe ways of insurance during classes and at home.
Working at the camp is a great opportunity to gain experience working with people with disabilities, make new interesting acquaintances, spend time actively and usefully. At the end camps every volunteer receives a commendation.
Expenses for accommodation and food during the event are provided by the organizers, it's absolutely free for you!
