At the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation 10 November 2020 at the initiative of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Housing and Utilities, construction and roads a webinar was held on the topic "From an accessible environment to a universal design".
The audience got acquainted with the principles of universal design, creating an accessible and comfortable environment for all categories of the population, regardless of age, having a disability, etc..
More 150 participants from all regions of the Russian Federation. Svetlana Razorotneva addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, Chairman of the Commission on Housing and Utilities, construction and roads of the Public Chamber of Russia and Gurtskaya Diana Gudaevna, Chairman of the Commission on Accessible Environment and Development of Inclusive Practices of the Public Chamber of Russia. Lev Gutman made reports (Saint Petersburg), Elena Leontieva (Ekaterinburg), Anatoly Popko (Moscow), Evgeny Shmakov (Krasnoyarsk). The initiator and moderator of the event was a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Galina Gorbatykh (The Republic of Buryatia).
The experience of regional experts was taken into account when preparing the webinar.
Andrey Bulanov, Chairman of the NPROI "Invatur", raised the issue of the need to improve the quality of examination of projects of social infrastructure facilities under construction, taking into account the needs of all categories of the population.
