- Goals and objectives of the Competition
The competition is held in order to overcome social disunity of people with disabilities (Further – disabled, disabled children) and persons without disabilities, formation of a positive attitude towards people with disabilities in society, formation of an active life position in persons with disabilities.
The objectives of the Competition are:
- identification of persons with disabilities, who managed to overcome psychological and other social barriers, related to disabilities, and have achieved certain success in life;
- sharing the experience of people with disabilities in exercising their rights and opportunities in the professional sphere;
- encouragement of disabled people with an active lifestyle, who have achieved significant results in various fields of activity.
- Competitors
Persons with disabilities are allowed to participate in the Competition, disabled children aged from 10 years old. Competition works, winners of the Competition 2014-2019 years, not allowed to participate.
- Competition Commission
- To prepare and conduct the Competition, a competition commission is created to conduct a regional competition for people with disabilities "The Path to Success" in 2020 year (Further – Commission), which includes representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (Further – Ministry), social service institutions and public organizations subordinate to the Ministry.
- The tasks of the Commission include:
- acceptance and registration of applications for participation in the Competition;
- consideration and evaluation of applications for participation in the Competition, determination of finalists;
- selection and rewarding of the winners of the Competition.
- Procedure and conditions of the Contest
4.1 .The competition is held in the following nominations:
- "Thanks for the support" (about people, organizations, institutions, who helped take the first step, helped to believe in yourself);
- "I can" (personal achievement stories, small personal victories, which expanded human capabilities);
- "My great success" (success stories in society).
- Contest winners are determined in two age groups:
- children and adolescents: from 10 to 18 years old;
- adults from 19 years old.
- Participants of the Competition submit applications for participation for consideration and assessment by the Commission in accordance with the requirements of the section 5 of this Regulation.
Dates of the Competition:
from 21 October to 20 November 2020 of the year – submission of applications for participation in the Competition;
from 23 November to 30 November 2020 of the year – consideration and evaluation of applications of participants of the Competition by the Commission, determination of finalists;
First decade of December 2020 of the year – awarding the finalists of the Competition.
- Each participant can submit only one application in one nomination.
- Applications for participation in the Competition are sent in electronic form to the state treasury institutions "Department of Social Protection of the Population" at the place of residence with confirmation on paper.
- At the end of the application deadline, state-owned institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region "Department of Social Protection of the Population" send competitive works to the Ministry, broken down by nominations and age groups.
- Communication with the participants of the Competition is carried out by phone numbers and e-mail addresses, by the specified participants of the Competition in the application.
The organizer reserves the right not to enter into written negotiations or other contacts with the participants of the Competition.
- The Organizer of the Competition has the right:
- submit stories and photographs in digital form to the Commission for their assessment;
- publish stories and photographs of participants in the media in order to inform the public about the Contest and its results.
- Requirements for the content and execution of the application
- Everyone who wants to take part in the Competition must:
- fill out an application in the prescribed form in accordance with the appendix to these Regulations, with an essay or story – story about myself, about your successes and achievements, about those, who was always there and supported in difficult times (the content depends on the choice of the nomination), as well as 2 photos (portrait and illustrating the achievement of the participant of the Competition).
- Works are allowed to participate in the Competition, meeting the following requirements:
- story size from 1500 characters to 5000 characters;
- the texts of the competition works are drawn up in Microsoft Word, шрифт Times New Roman, size 14; interval 1,5; fields: left – 2,5, case – 1,5 cm, from above – 2 cm, from below – 2 cm; page numbering at the top, in the center of the sheet;
- photos horizontally oriented in .jpeg or .png format;
- image size over 1000 pixels on the larger side;
- information and photos (Images) with a description, corresponding to the theme of the Competition.
Not allowed to participate in the Photography Contest (Images), borrowed from the information and telecommunications network "Internet" or any other source.
- Summing up and awarding the winners
When selecting the winners,: level of disclosure of the nomination topic in the text of the story (essay), expressiveness of photography and text, the value of achievement in human life and society, positive attitude, participant's prospects. The assessment is carried out on a 5-point scale.
The winners are awarded diplomas and valuable prizes as part of the Decade of Disabled People in the first decade of December 2020 of the year.
Organizers, sponsors and benefactors of the Competition have the right to establish additional prizes for competitive works.
The procedure for awarding the winners is determined by the organizer, taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Winners are notified of the awarding procedure in advance.
- Financing of the Competition
Financing of the Competition is carried out at the expense of the regional budget, provided for the implementation of the event 1.3 "Formation of a positive attitude to the problems of people with disabilities and to the problem of providing an accessible living environment for people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility in the Nizhny Novgorod region" as part of the subprogram "Formation of an accessible living environment for disabled people in the Nizhny Novgorod region" of the state program "Social support for citizens of the Nizhny Novgorod region", approved by the decree of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region from 30 april 2014 g. № 298.
Funds for financing, necessary for events, provided by the Ministry to the state treasury institution of the Nizhny Novgorod region "Department of social protection of the population of the Sormovsky district of the city of Nizhny Novgorod".
Funds from sponsors and benefactors may be attracted to award participants and winners of the Competition.
