An outdoor sports and rehabilitation camp "Center for Active Life" has opened on Bor, where people with disabilities are taught to use a wheelchair to the fullest. This was reported on the website of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of disabled people "Invatur".
The camp works with 15 by 25 September in the sports center "Borsky". Its main task is to make people with disabilities more independent and, first of all, to teach how to use a wheelchair.
The camp was organized within the framework of the "Mobilization" project, which is implemented with the help of a presidential grant, dedicated to the development of civil society.
Active people with disabilities from the Nizhny Novgorod region have come to learn to use a wheelchair in full, and from other regions of Russia.
The camp shift program includes training in safe movement in a wheelchair, overcoming obstacles, trainings, as well as competitions in adaptive sports. Also rest and communication in nature.
