Film screenings have started!

Yesterday the Arsenal hosted the opening of the annual film festival “Breaking Down Barriers”.
The event was organized by the Center for Contemporary Art “Arsenal” and Invatur.
Festival – this is a cycle of screenings of films about people with disabilities, about their lives and aspirations.
The purpose of the film festival- draw public attention to issues, that people with disabilities face in everyday life.
“We can definitely say about people with disabilities - these are people with non-disabled abilities.,- Ombudsman of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Oksana Kislitsyna speaks at the opening. They achieve success in many areas of life and are an example of fortitude for us.”.
The film festival aroused genuine interest among the townspeople and not only. Among the guests was also Deputy Minister of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergey Klementyev.
“Breaking Down Barriers ” -opportunity to show us all, that disabled people are ordinary people, who are learning, work, doing daily activities, experiencing the same emotions, feelings, dream and strive to achieve their goals, like we all. Our mission is to help you, so that they have no barriers in everyday life”.
Film screenings started with a short film about a boy with special needs named Petya from an orphanage, how he found his mother and sisters. How exactly did he attract his future mother? You can find out about this, watching a movie, because every Tuesday all summer the Arsenal will host film screenings.
