Based on the results of training during the summer 5 and 12 September on the territory of UIA "SSHOR “Sports City” the final competition took place “Inclusive triathlon” – competition of inclusive teams of 3 people, which includes people with disabilities and without disabilities, in three sports: laser biathlon, accurate orientation (Trail-O), streetball (wheelchair basketball). The training participants were people with disabilities not only from the cities of Dzerzhinsk and Nizhny Novgorod, but also other regions.
Despite the cool weather, the competition was held with full immersion. According to the results of summer training, teams of three participants were formed. After the opening of the competition, the teams proceeded to various sites.
There was no longer a "collective mind" in orienteering, and there was already well-coordinated teamwork. The entire distance was covered by each participant very responsibly, they understood, that they are a team. We helped each other in overcoming irregularities on the paths. Every checkpoint has been passed.
Wheelchair basketball- it is one of the types of team and dynamic sports. It's not just a spectacular sport, but also the opportunity to feel adrenaline, excitement of team play. This is an opportunity to make up for the deficit of motor activity in the game., this is very important and relevant!
Accuracy – it's not a victory yet. There were unexpected results during two days of competition. Especially it was in the Laser biathlon. And run and shoot one of the important challenges of the competition.
The results of the Inclusive Triathlon were very unpredictable.
According to the results of passing all sites, the winners were revealed:
– first place national team g. Dzerzhinsk- g. Moscow (Anna Medvedeva, Martinkevich Alexander, Shornikov Yuri-light blue);
– second place team g. Nizhny Novgorod (Ilyina Ksenia, Ilyin Ivan, Gorokhov Maxim-dark blue);
– third place national team g. Dzerzhinsk-g. Nizhny Novgorod (Malyshev Andrey, Yulia Medvedeva, Serazhetdinov Damir-yellow).
This project was implemented within the framework of the "Formula of Good Deeds" program with the support of PJSC "Sibur-Holding", Dzerzhinsk city administration, Department of Culture, sports, youth policy of the Administration. Dzerzhinsk, hospitable employees and the directorate of UIA "SSHOR “Sports City”, as well as the Orienteering Club Magnetic Pointer. Various volunteer movements of the city of Dzerzhinsk took part in the project.
