Two moves – and in the ladies

In the hotel complex "Russian Village" (g. Vladimir) from 10 April to 20 April was the Russian Championship in chess and checkers among people with PAD (musculoskeletal injury).
At the start of the competition 52 player from 21 region of the country.

One athlete from the Nizhny Novgorod region took part in the Championship. Mikhail Shcheltsyn (Nizhny Novgorod) — 11 place out of 24 (8-e place from 14 among men).
Sports chess for persons with PAD is a non-Paralympic sport. Competitions are held according to the rules of the International Chess Federation for Persons with Disabilities (IPCA). Athletes are allowed to use the help of an assistant during the game.
Checkers sport for persons with a musculoskeletal injury - a board game for two players, which consists in moving checkers in a certain way along the cells of the checkerboard. The sport is not included in the program of the Paralympic Games.
