Nizhny Novgorod para-athletes brought 13 medals from the All-Russian competitions in Sochi

Nizhny Novgorod residents took part in the All-Russian orienteering competitions among persons with impairments of the musculoskeletal system. The tournament was held in Sochi, according to the press service of the regional organization for cultural and social and labor rehabilitation of disabled people in support and wheelchairs "Invatur".
In the tournament for the prizes competed 53 athlete from 12 regions of Russia. Medals were played in two disciplines. Athletes from the Nizhny Novgorod region won 13 various awards, including four "gold".
– Sport helps people with disabilities to fulfill themselves. "Invatur" constantly conducts training and competitions in various types of parasport, и это приносит результаты, – notes the chairman of NROOI "Invatur" Andrey Bulanov.
Orienteering is not a Paralympic sport. With the help of a compass and a map, participants must walk a certain distance through the forest, park or city. Prisms are located at several points, from which you need to choose the only correct, corresponding to the given legend.
