FROM 1 January 2025 people with disabilities may face restrictions on their right to compensation for self-purchased technical rehabilitation equipment (TSR). Changes, introduced into the law “On social protection of disabled people in the Russian Federation”, have already been adopted by the State Duma and approved by the Federation Council.
Part 6 articles 11 Federal law from 24 November 1995 year No. 181-FZ “Social protection of disabled people in the Russian Federation”, previously guaranteed compensation to disabled people for purchasing TSR at their own expense, becomes invalid.
According to the article 13 Project No. 727327-8 Federal Law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation, suspension of certain provisions of legislative acts of the Russian Federation, recognizing as invalid certain provisions of legislative acts of the Russian Federation and establishing the specifics of the execution of budgets of the budget system of the Russian Federation in 2025 year”, disabled people will be able to receive monetary compensation only for TSR, purchased before 1 January 2025 of the year.
It means, what, if you are planning to purchase the necessary technical rehabilitation equipment after this date, no compensation will be provided.
