More 20 years “Invatur” helps people with disabilities of the musculoskeletal system and wheelchairs after receiving disabilities to accept their changed body, To find a job, meaning in life.
This year, with the support of the presidential grant, “Invatur” launched a large-scale project “Innovations for Integration”. Legal and psychological counseling is provided for people with disabilities., talk about, how to defend your rights. Help start to adaptive sports – bocci, accurate orientation, go to competitions.
And the “heart” of the project – training and production workshop "ARTel". Here people with disabilities learn modern technological equipment and try themselves in different professions. – the designer, the operator, manager, programmer…
– We wanted to give people with disabilities the opportunity to find themselves in modern professions., in which there are not many specialists. We selected specialties of different difficulty levels – someone is ready to work with programs, someone can do machine maintenance, and someone has access to the field of logistics. Training has been over 15 man, there are still applications. Master, who conducts classes, disabled person himself, – tells Andrei Bulanov.
The workshop creates souvenirs with social themes., tactile benefits for the blind, fitness equipment, which help to develop motor skills and other means of rehabilitation.
– Our principle: “Nothing for us without our participation”, – says Andrei Bulanov.
All employees of Ivatur – people with disabilities. But despite limited health, they do what they love and do, find time and energy for sports and set an example to others. Important, that here “equals help equals”.
– Lawyer of our organization – visually impaired. Trainers, that teach people how to use a wheelchair – wheelchairs themselves. We try to be an example., what disability – not a sentence. Looking at us, people see, that there is another life and it can be no less interesting, – tells Andrey Sergeevich.
To help people, only in wheelchair, Invatur employees began working with hospitals in Nizhny Novgorod.
– I'm in 2002 year became an invalid of the first group and at first did not understand – what to do, what is disability. It often happens, that the person is fixated on, that he should get out of the stroller, for years does not get out of hospitals – and at the same time forgets to live. We are talking about, that the recommendations of physicians must be followed – but you need to go further, do not give up. Study, find a job, play sports ... It used to be, that a person must first be cured – and then you need to do social rehabilitation. Now there is an understanding, that these processes should be conducted in parallel. It is worth teaching a person to live in that state, in which he is now, – sure Andrey Bulanov.
Thanks to the presidential grant, “Invatur” has been holding a sports and rehabilitation camp in the summer for two years in a row., where he teaches people how to use a wheelchair, only recently faced with physical disabilities. Classes not only help you learn new skills., get used to your, now different, the body – but look at life differently.
For, so that people with disabilities are not locked in four walls, and every day they could get to work and live a full life, Invatur also launched the Automotive project:
– Starting to work for people with disabilities, we are faced with, it's hard for many to just get to work. A manual car could be the solution., but with 2005 years in the city there was no driving school for people with disabilities. And we found a driving school, agreed with her and last year eight people passed exams.
