15 Martha 2023 year at the Yunost Sports Palace, for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod, eight people with disabilities passed the GTO standards.
The goal is to attract public attention to the rich potential of people with disabilities, the diversity of their interests, and the problems, they face in life, achieving good results, as well as identifying the strongest teams and athletes in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
– Passing the GTO standards is not easy even for people without health problems, and then several people with disabilities successfully passed them. – Ivan Konovalov, curator of the sports direction of the National Regional Educational Institution “Invatur”.
It is worth noting, what did people with different forms of disabilities take?: persons with cerebral palsy, with intellectual disabilities, with spinal injuries and spinal cord lesions, with unilateral or bilateral amputation or other lesions of the lower extremities.
People with disabilities train a lot in various adaptive sports, participate in competitions, take prizes. Receiving a GTO badge is also a significant victory for them.!
