Currently, assistance to the disabled is provided at all major railway stations., a list of which can be clarified with the CSM operator.
To apply for assistance at the station, as well as reserve a specialized seat on a long-distance train, a passenger with impaired functions of the musculoskeletal system, hearing, of vision or his representative must inform the Russian Railways operator about this at a toll-free federal number 8 (800) 510-11-11. The telephone line is open 24/7, no days off.
Applications are accepted within three days., but not later 24 hours before services start.
Russian Railways provides the following services to passengers with limited mobility:
– parking space reservation mobile casino specialized vehicle, delivering a disabled person or other passenger with limited mobility;
– organization of passenger escort from / to the vehicle that delivered / waiting for him;
– accompanying the passenger to all areas of the station complex: railway station territories, station building, cash halls, waiting rooms, toilet rooms, luggage storage, medical center, commercial service premises, aprons/platforms, exits and transitions to them;
– assistance in obtaining travel documents, use of luggage storage, purchase of goods;
– providing a place at the station for temporary stay of a passenger with limited mobility for the period of waiting for the vehicle;
– luggage transportation;
– assistance with boarding and disembarking on long-distance trains
