1 November 2022 year in the sports hall of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management - a branch of the RANEPA, a master class in para-biathlon was held. The initiator of the event was the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Public Organization of the Disabled "Invatur".
The participants of the master class were students of the Institute, who are engaged in physical culture in the main and special medical groups. At the beginning of the master class, Andrey Bulanov spoke to the students, chairman of Invatur and Ivan Konovalov, master of sports of Russia in trail orienteering.
– Sports are very important for people with disabilities., -they say. Therefore, there is a need to develop adaptive sports in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Invatur representatives introduced students to the rules of parabiathlon competitions, safety measures during classes and competitions, and also showed the parabiathlon laser system and how to handle it during the competition.
After that, a laser biathlon competition was held between two student teams..
At the end of the master class, representatives of Invatur thanked the administration of the institute for the opportunity to host the event.
– We look forward to further cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management - a branch of the RANEPA in the development of adaptive sports in the Nizhny Novgorod region, – Andrey Bulanov expressed his hope.
– I would like to note the good level of accessibility of premises in the institute building for people with limited mobility, – Ivan Konovalov shared his impressions.
Such activities show, that people with disabilities are able and willing to play sports and further develop adaptive sports.
