“CHESS WITHOUT BORDERS”

14 August at UNN as part of the All-Russian Festival “Cup of Hope-2019” a regional chess tournament for people with disabilities was held “Chess without borders”. 

At the opening, the guests were greeted by the President of the FSSOC Ilya Asafovich Zavivaev, who thanked the audience for, that they find the strength to compete, to live an active lifestyle, overcome difficulties, break all boundaries and win! 

Festival director Tatyana Aleksandrovna Khilova wished the participants good luck, beautiful parties and creative success.

This year, athletes from Nizhny Novgorod and Yoshkar-Ola took part in the rapid chess tournament, also, representatives of NROOI INVATUR took part in the competition. . Among the participants were masters and dischargers, and those were, who have never played in tournaments. Competitor Lyubov Sh. confessed, that in their 80 played in a real tournament for the first time and liked it, and she will definitely attend next time.

Among men 1 the place was won by the Nizhny Novgorod master Yuri Isaev, typed 5 points out of 5.
2 a place – Pomerantsev Dmitry, 4. 
3 a place – Yudin Kirill, 4. 

Among women, Antonina Spiridonova showed the best result (N.Novgorod), 3,5 points.
2 a place – Makarova Valentina, 3. 
3 a place – Potylitsyna Svetlana, 2. 

All participants of the tournament received diplomas for participation and memorable gifts.

Chess without bordersAs part of the 37th All-Russian Chess Festival “Cup of Hope” 12 August 2017 g. tournament was held in the premises of the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky “Chess without borders” among athletes with disabilities.

First time at the festival “Cup of Hope-2017” the tournament "Chess without Borders" among people with disabilities was held.
There are all conditions for comfortable competitions in the premises of the N.I. Lobachevsky UNN, and such a sport as chess provides an opportunity for creativity and self-realization to people of any age and ability.
According to the results of the tournament, Dmitry Vlasov from Nizhny Novgorod became the winner., who has repeatedly participated in chess competitions, Dmitry won in all games and scored 8 points from 8.
Second place went to Alexander Belyaev, 7 points from 8.
Dmitry Pomerantsev became the bronze medalist, 5 points.
The best result among women was shown by Svetlana Tsykunova.
Eldar Muravlev has the best result among youths.

At the closing ceremony, all participants of the tournament received prizes, because today they once again demonstrated their attitude, force of spirit and that, that the chess world is open to everyone and has no boundaries!
