Over the weekend at the Trud stadium, the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of the disabled "Invatur" held a sports festival "Sport without barriers", dedicated to the day of the athlete. This was reported in the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy.
“The program of our festival was very intense.. This is wheelchair running., and laser biathlon, and darts, and shot put and much more. Besides, participants of competitions with a lesion of the musculoskeletal system tried their hand at a wheelchair tennis master class, which has been actively developing in our city since last year" – отметил руководитель НРООИ «Инватур» Andrey Bulanov.
The event was attended 80 man, including more 40 athletes with disabilities.
At the end of the event, the winners of the competitions were awarded medals and certificates of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Administration of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, each participant received a souvenir about the event.
The project "Sport without barriers" of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of cultural, social and labor rehabilitation of disabled supporters and wheelchair users "Invatur" is one of the winners of the city competition of social projects "Open Lower" in 2022 year in the direction of "Social Nizhny". The goal of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle, involvement of people with disabilities in regular adaptive physical education classes.
