The outbound camp "Center for Active Life" takes place on Bor
Sudden rainstorm postpones orienteering competition. Participants of the traveling camp "Center for Active Life" have the opportunity to discuss the program. In a few days they, forced to move in a wheelchair, learned to work with this vehicle in a new way. for example, Julia Muzyreva shares every success with her family, from which she left for the first time 5 years old.
“I couldn't change from a wheelchair anywhere on my own. On the first day I was taught to sit on a bench, I immediately called, they speak: "Come on, you're lying". Then the girls filmed me, how I change and say - well, all, you will transplant on your own without any help ".
As soon as the rain calms down, camp participants, all of them 21 man, return to active wheelchair training.
The outing camp was organized by the public organization "Invatur" with the assistance of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The project was supported by the Presidential Grants Fund. The main goal of the traveling camp is to help the participants overcome their fears..
Anastasia Druzhinina, head and head coach of the "Center for Active Life":
“Psychologically, it’s even hard to change to a wheelchair. It seems, now I will get up and go. And for another day I will sit at home, and everything will be great. But practice shows, that there is no such thing in our life. Our task is to show, don't be afraid. It is necessary to do so, so that the stroller is an extension of our legs. That you can also go travel, do sport, to go to work, to start a family".
The shift participants were also able to talk with a psychologist.
