Taxis for people with limited mobility may appear in Nizhny Novgorod for the 2018 World Cup. This was reported by Nizhny Novgorod NIA with reference to a speech by the Minister of Transport and Roads of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Vadim Vlasov at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region 24 april.
Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Public Organization of Cultural, of social and labor rehabilitation of disabled Oporn and Opal wheelchair users Andrei Bulanov, present at the meeting, declared, that in Nizhny Novgorod there is no taxi for the disabled and asked a question, how low mobility fans can move around the city.
Vladimir Vlasov commented, that the issue of taxis for disabled people is currently being discussed with private companies. The Minister also designated, that the main objects of transport infrastructure are, how is Strigino airport, Moscow station and bus stations, equipped with special places and bathrooms for the disabled.
In "Strigino", according to the minister, separate entrance provided, designed for stroller width. In the parking lot, in the toilet room, on a bus stop, at the entrance to the airport complex, equipped call buttons. On the ground floor are mimics with braille and special navigation.
Special employees will work at the airport and at the Moscow station, ready to help people with limited mobility.
