В рамках декады инвалидов на базе НРООИ ИНВАТУР состоялись соревнования по настольным играм: 24 November – Чемпионат Нижегородской области по шашкам и «Осенний турнир» по нардам и дартсу, as well as 10 декабря турнир по шахматам, devoted to the Day of Persons with Disabilities.
3 декабря отмечается Международный день инвалидов или Международный день людей с ограниченными возможностями.Он был утвержден резолюцией 47/3 UN General Assembly from 14 October 1992 года с целью привлечения внимания к проблемам инвалидов.

In contrast to the traditional perception of people with disabilities, sport provides an opportunity to take a fresh look at disabilities and for the realization of the right, of each person for sporting achievements and creating conditions for their support.
Board games are interesting in that - these sports give even the weakest athletes the opportunity to think, reason, analyze, to plan, combine, draw conclusions, develop thinking and strategy of action, ability to fight for prizes, temper your athletic character and become a gold medalist in your life.
The purpose of the competition is to draw public attention to the rich potential of people with disabilities, the diversity of their interests and concerns, they face in life, achieving good results.
Competitive tournaments to identify the strongest, friendly battles on the battle boards, tea drinking with friends – how pleasant it is to receive guests.
Competitions became possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Department of Sport and Youth Policy of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Federation of Sports of Persons with Impairment of the Musculoskeletal System and the leadership of the NROOI "INVATUR", and also thanks to caring sponsors.
