Nizhny Novgorod disabled people went to the festival of culture and sports "Para-Art" in Sochi
The X Open Festival of Culture and Sports "Para-Art" for people with disabilities takes place from 6 by 11 October 2020 years in Sochi. Traditionally, the team of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of disabled people "Invatur".

The traditional festival of culture and sports "Para-Art" aims to attract people with disabilities to adaptive sports and creativity.
Competitions in adaptive sports are held within the framework of the festival, master classes from accomplished athletes with disabilities, master classes in applied arts and an exhibition of works.
Master classes and competitions are held in six types of adaptive sports:
- barrel,
- curling,
- Athletics,
- table tennis,
- wheelchair dancing,
- trail orientation.
Besides, within the framework of the festival, master classes are held on eight types of applied art:
- batik,
- painting,
- felt products,
- polymer clay products,
- glassware,
- floaramin products,
- painting icons,
- floristics.
Besides, creative evenings and excursions are planned. Rafting on a mountain river is planned this year.
The festival ends with a gala concert, where the festival results are summed up and talented people with disabilities from all over the country are presented.
People with disabilities have the opportunity to take part in all festival events and choose the type of activity for themselves, sports and / or creative.
The organizers consider, what an example of people with an active lifestyle, who managed to realize themselves, despite disability, will become an important stage in the socialization of people with disabilities.
Travel is made possible by, that the project "Adaptive Sports for Active People" won the competition for charitable projects of the engineering division of ROSATOM. The best parasportsmen went to the festival in Sochi after training, master classes and competitions.
