People with “invisible disabilities” in Russia: problems of adaptation and communication

Seeing a person in a wheelchair or with a white cane on the street, many will offer to help. Attitudes towards people with disabilities in Russia are changing for the better. The expert thinks so, Council of Europe consultant on disability and youth policy Karina Chupina. At the same time, she emphasizes, that people with so-called “invisible disabilities” find it much more difficult to find sympathy and support from others.
