In the sports hall of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management - a branch of the RANEPA, an inclusive parabiathlon training was held as part of the "Sports Without Barriers" project, который стал одним из победителей городского конкурса социальных проектов «Открытый Нижний» в 2022 year. As noted by the department, The goal of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle, involvement of people with disabilities in regular adaptive physical education classes.

Representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Public Organization of the Disabled "Invatur", who is the organizer of the event, introduced students to the rules of parabiathlon competitions, talked about safety measures during classes and competitions, and also taught how to handle a laser machine. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the guys mastered the skills of shooting from laser rifles at electronic targets, and then divided into two teams and held a relay race. More than fifty students took part in the master classes, engaged in physical culture in the main and special medical groups.

"Very important, that both students with disabilities and their classmates took part in the competition. The guys competed on equal terms, demonstrated the will to win and sports passion", – отметил руководитель НРООИ «Инватур» Andrey Bulanov.

As previously reported, twenty-four projects of Nizhny Novgorod non-profit organizations became the winners of the city competition of social projects "Open Nizhny".
