"Cinema without Barriers": стартует Международный инклюзивный кинофестиваль

FROM 26 by 30 November 2020 the 10th International Inclusive Film Festival "Cinema without Barriers". Viewers will be able to watch the best Russian and foreign full-length and short films for free, play, documentary and animation films about people with disabilities, as well as work, filmed with their direct participation.

For the first time, in addition to traditional film screenings in the cinema, the organizers have prepared a rich online program, so that viewers from all over the world can become participants in this grand event. Online screenings and the opening ceremony of the festival will be held on the official website of the film festival kinofest.org.

FROM 27 by 29 November for Muscovites and guests of the capital will be available free screenings at the cinema KARO SKY 17 in the shopping and entertainment center Aviapark. To visit the cinema, you need to register on the kinofest.org website. All safety precautions will be observed in the cinema to maintain social distance, spectators will be allowed to attend the sessions only in masks and gloves.

Famous paintings will also be presented at online screenings, and new works. for example, the world-famous film with Hollywood stars Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson "Peanut Falcon". This is the real story of a guy with Down syndrome, which has inspired thousands of people. Starring actor Zach Gottsagen became the world's first person with Down syndrome, who received a specialized acting education. Also at the film festival will show the best film for children according to the International Festival in Toronto "Witch Hunters" about a brave boy with cerebral palsy; the exciting love story "On Your Mind" about a guy with autism and many other films, won worldwide recognition.

IN 2020 a record number of applications came to participate in the festival: more 900 films from 56 countries. Of these, the organizers selected 50 best paintings, who will compete in 15 nominations: best movie, breaking stereotypes, most life-affirming film, best film about the rights of people with disabilities, best actress and actor and others.

"Cinema without Barriers" is a film festival unique for our country, which do not just talk about the lives of people with disabilities, but also clearly demonstrate their limitless possibilities and variety of interests. Participating films are designed to change the attitude of society towards people with disabilities, showing, that each person is valuable as a person, regardless of its features. The film festival is held by the Regional Public Organization of Persons with Disabilities "Perspective" 20 years old. During the existence of the festival, viewers saw more 700 films from all over the world: USA, Of Canada, Germany, France, New Zealand and many others. In Moscow alone, more than 25 000 man.

“People with disabilities are the largest minorities in Russia., so in America. Films like these help us better understand these people., their contribution to society. IN 2020 year, the chairman of the jury of the film festival was film director Vladimir Kott, and also the jury included Alexey Chupov, Merkulova Natalia, Vasilieva Irina, American documentary filmmaker John Alpert, multiplier Maximov Ivan, Merinov Sergey, Aldashin Mikhail, journalists and film critics Moskvitin Egor, Surganova Liza, Conspiracy Maxim and others.

In addition to film screenings, interesting discussions await guests during the festival., who bring directors together, movie characters, film students, representatives of public organizations to discuss films and problems, which they raise.

International Inclusive Film Festival "Cinema without Barriers" is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Presidential Grants Fund, Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the City of Moscow, Embassies of Israel and Australia in Moscow, Czech Center in Moscow, Swiss embassies, USA, Canada and Australia in Russia, as well as MTS.
