Results of the Russian Orienteering Championship

In Yekaterinburg with 12 by 21 May the Russian orienteering championship was held among people with musculoskeletal disorders.

Participated in the competition 60 athletes from 10 regions (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Lipetsk region, Rostov region, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sverdlovsk region, Kirov region, Pskov region, Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Karelia).

Athletes in two classes could take part in the competition: O1-O3 - Paralympic class (athletes with POD, those competing sitting in wheelchairs and not having the right to stand up when solving problems at a distance); O4-O6 - Paralympic class (athletes with POD, having the ability to solve problems while standing). And also "C" (free class) — athletes with any physical abilities. Before the main starts, model starts took place in the park area of ​​the city of Yekaterinburg, in which the free class additionally took part, beginners and families with children with mental disabilities. The main starts took place in the park area of ​​the Raduga shopping center. "Sprint-Tempo" discipline.

Participants competed on the speed of solving problems when working with a map and compass., comparing objects on the ground - five stations with five tasks each.

Results of the Nizhny Novgorod region team in the Sprint discipline: Class O4-O6 women: Kozina Love - 2 a place; Frolova Natalya - 6 a place; Free class woman: Zabegina Nadezhda - 8 a place; Class O1-O3 men: Konovalov Ivan - 11 a place; Morozov Alexey - 13 a place; Free class men: Dulatov Alexander - 1 a place. Discipline "Precision orientation": distance 1 km, 20 checkpoints. The result is determined by the number of correct answers.

In the “Team Competition” discipline, representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod region took sixth place.
