When they talk about mobile and active sports, then his “queen” is called athletics. And in a quiet and intellectual sport, a game of chess could claim the title of "queen". If it were not for the presence of one, but a very serious competitor - checkers. At the same time, checkers may well compete with chess both in terms of popularity and the level of official sports competitions., and by the antiquity of its appearance and the abundance of myths and legends associated with them.
Now there are a huge number of board games.. But today we are talking about the most valuable checkers and backgammon. Backgammon and checkers are two popular board games., with which you can develop tactics and strategic skills (the ability to predict the opponent's move).
Master classes and competitions in board games were held on the basis of NROOI INVATUR 27 November – "Autumn Tournament" in checkers and backgammon among persons with PAD. Participated in tournaments 17 athletes from the city of Nizhny Novgorod and the city of Kstovo.
According to the results of the checkers tournament, the absolute winner was 1 place - Ivan Konovalov, 2 place - Golubev Vsevolod, 3 place - Svetlana Potylitsyna.
On backgammon, the result was less predictable, everything was decided by the dice and the attentiveness of the athletes. In long backgammon tournament among men 1 place - Ivan Konovalov, 2 place - Ilyin Ivan, 3 place - Volgin Nikolay. Among women 1 place - Svetlana Potylitsyna, 2 place - Ivanova- Olkhovskaya Galina, 3 place - Ilyina Ksenia.
Competitions became possible thanks to the support of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Federation of Sports of Persons with Impairment of the Musculoskeletal System and the leadership of the NROOI "INVATUR". All winners received medals, diplomas, prizes.
Checkers is a board game with two players.. To play, you need a special board and checkers. (chips). The goal of the players is to remove all the opponent's checkers from the field or bring them to such a situation., when the enemy is blocked or surrenders. There are several types of chess games., in Russia, Russian drafts are popular in the former Soviet republics and in Israel.
Unlike backgammon, there is no element of luck in checkers., when the dice give out the right amount of points. Players rely only on their own skills and on the mistakes of the enemy. Games in checkers can be compared to a fight, where there are tactics and strategy. An interesting feature of checkers is that an ordinary checker can become a king, if it manages to reach the opposite field of the enemy. If the player has a queen, his chances of winning are greatly increased. Another plus of checkers is that the player can plan moves like this, that in one move with an ordinary checker he can remove several enemy checkers from the field at once.
Playing chess makes you think, maybe it's not as exciting as backgammon, but more advanced, useful for children.
Backgammon is a board game, two players are needed to play, special board, chips and dice. The aim of the players is to move the checkers (chips) in accordance with the points dropped on the bones, make a full circle on the board with all checkers, occupy one part of the board with them (house) and remove from the board. Whoever was able to withdraw all the checkers first won. There are two main varieties - long and short backgammon.
The game is interesting, that players need to plan their moves in this way, so that they do not interfere with each other and that the player can withdraw all the checkers as soon as possible. Excitement adds something, that the outcome of the game depends not only on the ability to plan your moves, but also out of luck, from that, how many points will be on the thrown dice.
