Boccia Championship

15 March 2020. as part of the development of adaptive sports in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the basis of the physical culture and recreation complex "ZARECHE", the traditional annual Boccia Championship among persons with PADA was held. The competition was attended by 75 athletes (of them 20 amateur teams and 22 classified athletes) from different parts of the Nizhny Novgorod region – Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Gorodets, Volga region, and also our neighbors arrived from the city of Kovrov, Vladimir region. Volunteers from the Department of Adaptive Physical Culture of the UNIVERSITY IM. N.I.. LOBACHEVSKY ", volunteer cadet students at the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District named after General of the Army V.F. Margelov, as well as our constant caring volunteers.

Boccia is a sport, which develops accuracy in people with disabilities, enables them to move and develop as a professional athlete, moving towards the paralympics, Besides, he raises their self-esteem. Through the game guys, whose needs are limited, get social experience, meet new people, broaden their horizons, feel the joy of movement.

The competitions are qualifying for the Russian Championship and, as always, were interesting, emotionally intense and "gambling". Humans have a passion for competition.. People have always sought to create artificial, controlled conditions, within which they can identify the best - this is how the competition appeared. Athletes step on each other's "heels", showing off your new practiced throws. Results in some classes were impossible to predict. Competition was present on all courts. The competition was held as in personal, and in the team standings. Athletes have shown excellent results, the strongest took prizes and were awarded medals, certificates and prizes. Some athletes participated in this level for the first time.

The winners were awarded thanks to the support of caring sponsorship.

Kostina Kristina won gold in the individual competition in BC1 class (Nizhny Novgorod); in BC2 class gold-Volgin Nikolay (Nizhny Novgorod); in BC3 class gold- Konovalov Ivan (Nizhny Novgorod); in BC4 class gold- Lebedeva Julia(Volga region); in BC5 class gold - Tatiana Kupriyanova (Dzerzhinsk).

Team games were held among amateurs. The first and second places were taken by the teams of the city of Dzerzhinsk, pupils of the coach Vladimir Gaidukov, and bronze is the team of Kovrov of the Vladimir region.

It was a very important day for our city, for NROOI INVATUR, for all of us! Thank you all for participating and organizing the competition..
