25 Martha 2024 year, as part of the development of sports in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Nizhny Novgorod region chess championship was held among persons with ASD. The tournament took place at the convenient venue of the Nizhny Novgorod stadium.
We opened the competition with welcoming words: chief judge of the competition Maxim Anatolyevich Fedenko is the only holder of the international title of FIDE arbiter in the Nizhny Novgorod region, tournament director Tatyana Aleksandrovna Khilova - executive director of the Nizhny Novgorod region chess federation, Kokarev Dmitry Vasilievich - President of the Federation of Sports for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disabilities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a paralympian, three-time champion, Samarin Eduard Vladimirovich - senior coach of the Nizhny Novgorod region in sports for people with musculoskeletal disorders and multiple medalist of the Summer Paralympic Games 2012, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in swimming among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders (PODA).
The tournament was open to all people with musculoskeletal disorders of both sexes. Everyone was in the mood for a serious fight. Competitions were individual. The tournament was held on a round-robin basis.. Men played with women. The fight between the participants was intense, interesting. All competitors tried their best to show their skills.
According to the results of the tournament, Ivan Konovalov became the absolute winner. On 2 place - Shipaev Dmitry. He lost to the winner only in additional indicators. In third place - Andrey Grachev. Among the veterans is Vladimir Morozov. Among women - Victoria Kravchenko. Among the boys - Ilya Kashcheev. All winners and prize-winners received medals, diplomas from the Ministry of Sports and gifts from the Chess Federation. The competition took place thanks to the organizers: Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Chess Federation of the Nizhny Novgorod region, NROO of the Federation of Sports for Persons with PDA and NROO INVATUR.
