In Moscow 22 september 2020 in Moscow in the hall of the Executive Committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee, chaired by the President of the RPC Vladimir Lukin, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Development of Adaptive Physical Culture and Sports of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports was held.
The Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Artyom Efremov made a report on the development of adaptive physical culture and sports in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Artem Efremov reported, that in the Nizhny Novgorod region the number of institutions, working with people with disabilities in the direction of adaptive physical education, growing steadily. Compared with 2012 it has doubled in a year.
“We have a good base for adaptive physical education. As part of a targeted investment program with 2007 year built 38 FOKov, partially adapted for disabled people. And our main task – make sports even more accessible for people with disabilities”, – emphasized Artem Efremov.
The priority disciplines in the region are: swimming, football, Athletics, table tennis, barrel, powerlifting.
