Project Description
Today in the Russian Federation there are 12,8 million. disabled. Of 2,57 million. disabled, who are of working age, only works 817,2 thousand. man, the number of disabled people who are not working is 1,8 млн человек, or 77% of the number of disabled people of working age. The employment rate of persons with disabilities is much lower than the employment rate of other categories of citizens (data of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation). The necessity of social preparation of people with disabilities for employment is emphasized., especially youth, not experienced first job.
Currently, it is quite difficult for young professionals with disabilities to find work, not having seniority. Most people with disabilities, due to lack of professional experience or insufficient social experience, are not ready for employment in the open labor market. Employees without work experience are now in little demand in the labor market. (without disability including, and the presence of disability poses additional difficulties). Besides, lack of necessary social experience, low self-esteem prevents many people with disabilities to look for work correctly, skillfully present yourself to employers and successfully stay in the workplace after employment. Employers poorly represent opportunities for people with disabilities.
The main amount of information a person perceives visually. Therefore, the main problem of the blind and visually impaired is not a sufficiently complete perception of the world (but usually people with visual disabilities can compensate for this limitation with other senses and good memory). But almost all problems of this nature can be avoided, creating some conditions, which could compensate for the lack of vision. So, now actively using computer programs, which voice all the information on a computer screen and, by installing such a program (it can be downloaded on the Internet) and putting on the headphones (so as not to disturb others), a blind person can freely work on a computer.
If a person has a visual impairment, then various specialties will suit him, related to intellectual activity (lawyers, psychologists, accounting), either with manual labor or by telephone. Work does not fit a blind person, associated with active movement around the city in new and unfamiliar places or professions, where vision is directly involved (driver, security guard etc.)
If a person has a hearing impairment, then practically any professions and specialties will suit him, excluding some types of work, related to direct and ongoing communication with clients in person or by phone. Although these restrictions can be eliminated using special technical means or by changing the rules and regulations. Telephone sets are available for deaf and hard of hearing people., transmitting information in the form of a text running line with the ability to type in printed form on the keyboard. These devices can work independently, connect to regular phones. A striking example of the ability of people with hearing disabilities to communicate with clients, is that, that a large number of such people work as cashiers in the Auchan hypermarket chain.
The proposed project is aimed at expanding the employment opportunities of people with disabilities through their professional and social preparation for employment, allowing them to be more competitive in the open labor market.
