Attitude towards prisoners, how to outcast, not conducive to his recovery. From the point of view of society, convicts are in prison, suspects, defendants. Project Description
NROOI "Invatur" is engaged in social rehabilitation of people with disabilities more 15 years old. FROM 2010 years, work is being done to assist individuals, held in prisons. During this time, practical experience has been accumulated., interaction with the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. One of the problems of convicted persons with disabilities is the lack of assistance from other convicts. It would be possible to create such a social service in the colony with the involvement of active members of the Orthodox community. On the other hand, participation in social work, self-awareness is beneficial for the re-education of convicts.
The project aims to return convicts to society through the awakening of mercy and participation in providing real assistance to those in need. Awareness of prisoners of their human values - the path to resocialization. The project involves cultural and educational events, conversations with representatives of orthodox communities of colony temples, strengthening the coordinated interaction of educational institutions in correctional institutions, public organizations and the Russian Orthodox Church in re-education, spiritual instruction of the convicted, dissemination of traditional cultural property, promoting their resocialization. For mothers, serving sentences, spiritual connection with children is very important.
Project “Healing the soul good deeds” involves making audio recordings, on which mothers would recite a bedtime story to their children. It is also planned to attract convicts to the manufacture of useful things for children with disabilities., people with disabilities, orphanages: educational toys, tactile benefits for the blind, warm knitwear. Letters and video interviews from recipients of such gifts will be used as feedback. Direct practical assistance planned for prisoners with disabilities: counseling, assisting in the selection and acquisition of technical means of rehabilitation, relief assistance upon release.
