This project aims to ensure that people with disabilities have the right to equal access to quality services.
The project provides for the provision of legal assistance to people with disabilities and their families on the protection of social rights, ensuring equal access to quality social services. It is planned to train activists with disabilities in the methodology of inspecting objects for accessibility, compiling appeals and complaints, assert their rights. To attract volunteers, interaction with legal clinics of educational institutions of the city of Nizhny Novgorod and the region is provided. Specialists of the organization will conduct classes with students on the specifics of working with people with disabilities, protection of their rights. Planned cooperation with students of construction specialties, who will help people with disabilities, with significant restrictions on movement, in home improvement.
A competition of creative solutions will be held among students “Universal Design Hackathon”, where they will be asked to solve real problems of organizing the accessibility of social facilities, public spaces. Experts with disabilities will act as consultants for creative groups of students, trained.
