Russian Chess and Drafts Championship

The Russian Chess and Drafts Championship among persons with PADA was held in the city of Sovetsk, Калининградской области с 20 by 30 april 2021 g.

Annually, in order to increase social activity, further popularization and development of these intellectual types of competitions, fostering the will to win.
Federation of Sports of Persons with PAD in conjunction with the Center for Sports Training of National Teams, with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the best minds from among people with disabilities were invited to participate.
This year, with the support of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, The Ministry of Sports of the Kaliningrad Region and the Administration of the Soviet Urban District, chess players and checkers from all over Russia were welcomed by the second largest city of the Kaliningrad Region – Sovetsk.
This year we were able to take part in the Championship 63 participant from 23 regions of the Russian Federation: Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Smolensk, Orenburg, Novosibirsk regions, Moscow and Moscow region, Republics of Crimea and Tatarstan, Perm and Altai Territories, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl regions, I have little- Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Districts, Mordovia and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Republic of Buryatia, Vologda, Penza. Voronezh regions and, of course. Kaliningrad region.
Taking part in competitions of this format, participants not only save new sports victories and achievements in their piggy bank, but also make new friends, and also meet old acquaintances.
Organizers, in turn, there is an opportunity to identify new talents, as well as to sum up the results of the work done during the year and set new tasks for further activities, aimed at promoting and systematizing these sports among people with disabilities.
Two athletes from Nizhny Novgorod took part in the Russian Drafts Championship.
In the individual classification of Potylitsyna Svetlana took 8 place of 12 women and Mikhail Shcheltsyn took 7 place of 16 men, in the team standings, the Nizhny Novgorod region took 7 place from 8 teams.
